UNHEALTHY PINOY MONEY MINDSET #1 By: Chinkee Tan

 Source: http://chinkeetan.com/unhealthy-pinoy-money-mindset-1/

Bakit?
Kapag mayroon tayong ganitong mindset, siguradong kahit napakalaki ng sahod mo, you will still live in lack and in debt. You cannot count the chicks that hasn’t hatch.
These are the three key words that we need to set in our mind..
THINK LONG-TERM
LEARN HOW TO ENDURE
LEARN TO BE PATIENT
Bakit hindi mo subukan, nothing to lose but eveyrthing to gain.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
I want you to watch this video. Please click on this link http://bit.ly/1wOrPI6

UNHEALTHY PINOY MONEY MINDSET #2 By: Chinkee Tan

 Source: http://chinkeetan.com/unhealthy-pinoy-money-mindset-2/

“KULANG ANG AKING KINIKITA”
Kulang, kulang, kulang, lagi nalang kulang.
Earning money is very personal and subjective.
What do I mean?
Is that a lot of income o maliit na income?
Some might say na maliit siya. So do you understand what I mean by earning money is very personal and subjective.
What you feed your mind will become real in your life.
So if you feed your mind na parati kang wala at maliit ang iyong kita, yung talaga ang magiging reality mo. Pero kung if you feed your mind with solutions, nag-iisip ka na ng solusyun at paraan kung paano dumiskarte para madagdagan ang kita, yan din ang mangyayari.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
So may I suggest let us “STOP COMPLAINING & DO SOMETHING.
And see how your world will change.
IF YOU ARE READY FOR CHANGE. I want you to watch this video. Please click on this link http://bit.ly/1wOrPI6

CBCP President ARCHBISHOP SOC VILLEGAS: NILINAW NA WALANG DESECRATION OF EUCHARIST SA LUNETA MASS

  by splendor1618

NILINAW NI ARCHBISHOP SOCRATES VILLEGAS NA WALANG DESECRATION ANG NANGYARI SA LUNETA MASS KUNG SAAN PINASA NG MGA CATHOLIC FAITHFUL ANG HOLY EUCHARIST UPANG MAKAPAG COMMUNION ANG MGA NASA LIKURAN NILA NA HINDI NA MAKAPILA SA SOBRANG SIKSIKAN. PINALIWANAG NG CBCP PRESIDENT NA ANG SITUATION AY ‘EXTRAORDINARY’ DAHIL SA SOBRANG DAMI NG TAO NA HUMIGIT 6 MILLION.
I’M GLAD KASI ITO RIN ANG AKING PALIWANAG ONLINE SA MGA NAGTATANONG AT GANON DIN SA AKING MGA KAIBIGAN:
  • Monday
  • FRIEND:
we should not defend the sacrilege at Luneta
  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
THERE IS NO SACRILEGE IN LUNETA.
WE HAVE TO EXPLAIN IT. KAPAG SOBRANG SIKSIKAN ANG MGA TAO AND NO WAY TO MAKE A LINE IT MUST BE PASSED. WE MUST NOT IMMEDIATELY JUDGED IT AS SACRILEGE. SACRILEGE MUST BE INTENTIONAL DISRESPECT OF THE BODY OF THE LORD OR INTENTIONAL VIOLATION OF THE EUCHARIST. PASSING IT DURING SUCH EXTREME CIRCUMSTANCES IS REASONABLE.

  • FRIEND:
The people who distributed it if they are ignorant of it have no fault
But the organizers who did so, most especially if they are priests and bishops will answer to God.
  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
AS IVE SAID. THAT IS AN EXTRAORDINARY SITUATION. WE ARE TALKING HERE OF MILLIONS OF PEOPLE WHO SUFFERED THE RAIN TO BE IN THE MASS AND STOOD FOR HOURS AND HOURS. WE CANNOT APPLY THE ORDINARY SITUATION RULE THERE… IF WE ARE TO APPLY THE MENTALITY OF THE SSPX THAT EACH OF THEM MUST KNEEL EVEN TWO DAYS ARE NOT ENOUGH FOR COMMUNION SERVICE ALONE.
IF THE PRIEST CANNOT GO TO FAR PLACES WHERE THE SICK ARE THE EUCHARIST IS BEING SENT BY LAY PERSONS TO THE SICK OF THEIR VILLAGE. THIS IS DONE SINCE APOSTOLIC TIMES.
  • FRIEND:
It’s on the discernment of the organizer. Pope Francis gave us an example at Tacloban. It was an extraordinary event when hindi nilabas ang host

  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
    CORRECT…
  • FRIEND:
    To avoid desecration.
  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
EXTRAORDINARY EVENT CALLS FOR EXTRAORDINARY DECISION ON THE SPOT THE MINISTER  THAT NOBODY COULD QUESTION.
THE HOST WAS NOT DESECRATED. IT IS FRATERNALLY DISTRIBUTED TO HEROIC FAITHFUL WHO STOOD THE RAINS AND BRAVED THE PAINS TO BE WITH THE POPE.
IBA ANG DESECRATION AT IBA ANG SPECIAL WAY IT WAS GIVEN TO THE FAITHFULDESECRATION IF THEY PASSED IT INTENTIONALLY TO BE INSULTED OR TO BE TRAMPLED UPON. THEY PASSED IT TO SHARE TO FELLOW COMMUNICANTS.
  • FRIEND:
A friend suggested po that there should just be spiritual communion nalang po to avoid the sacrilege, nasa wall po niya
Other apologists said in other forum askec, didn’t they know that is the body of Christ?
  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
WELL, THAT IS VERY NICE. BUT IF YOU ARE THERE IN THE MIDDLE OF CROWD AND PEOPLE ARE ASKING FOR COMMUNION YOU CANNOT DENY THE BODY OF THE LORD TO THE FAITHFUL ASKING FOR IT WHILE YOU HAVE IT ON YOUR HAND. ANO YON? IBABALIK MO ANG BODY OF THE LORD WHILE THE PEOPLE TIRED AND HUNGRY ARE ASKING FOR JESUS?

RULES ARE MADE FOR THE SOULS AND NOT THE SOULS BE REJECTED JUST FOR RULES.
  • SPIRITUAL COMMUNION KUNG WALA NANG EUCHARIST. NAUBOS.
PERO KUNG MAY EUCHARIST THEN IPAGKAKAIT… MAS MASAMA YON. ESPECIALLY NAG DUSA ANG MGA TAO TO BE IN THAT MASS
  • FRIEND:
It’s not that. I think what we are saying is that if it is to be distributed, it should be distributed properly like the one at Tacloban, otherwise, huwag nalang to avoid the desecration.
  • Abe Arganiosa
    Splendor1618
THE ONE IN TACLOBAN IS ONLY 200,000. THAT IS STILL UNDER CONTROL. BUT THE ONE IN THE FINAL MASS WAS SO MIND BLOWING. NOBODY WAS PREPARED FOR IT. ITS THE FIRST TIME IN HISTORY. ALTHOUGH I AGREE THAT THE ORGANIZERS OF THAT MASS SHOULD HAVE PREPARED MORE OR THINK OF BETTER ALTERNATIVE NEXT TIME.

NO DESECRATION: WAG PANIWALAAN ANG NAGDUDUNONG DUNUNGAN NA ITO NA MAS NAGMAMAGALING PA SA CBCP PRESIDENT.
NO DESECRATION: WAG PANIWALAAN ANG NAGDUDUNONG DUNUNGAN NA ITO NA MAS NAGMAMAGALING PA SA CBCP PRESIDENT.

"Doing Good or Not, People still judge you" expound by: Nicholai M. Luceños

Paraphrasing the text message I received coming to my classmate Ms. Rhona Mae Entia in Saint Vincent's College the school I enrolled and graduated taking Bachelor of Science in Business Administration Major in Financial Management and also a Former Working Scholar, Former Working Scholar President. I already deleted that text message many months ago come without writing it to any piece of paper for documentary purposes. But even I deleted it, the message is reminding me how important he is and I will cite that and even expound it. The message says in a paraphrase context because I forgot what the message exactly written.  It says: "Doing good or not, people still judge, the important is you are happy doing it".
Allow me to expound it and my opinion that I want to show for you to know what the word wants to delivered.
It is a Big Challenge to my part of what the message talking about. I am a Roman Catholic Member joining any Church Organizations beginning my high school life until today reaching 21 years of age. Surprisingly people giving appreciation, praises to me of what I am doing as a person. But as of now year 2015 it reminds me that the message taken to my classmate knocking my heart to change my mindset as a person. What  I mean is the purpose of doing this activity in any Church Organizations, working in private institution, schools as former working scholar, student and others of who you are in background and positions. The following activities are just part of my existence need not to be measured as a comparison to others that I am worthy, religious, active, good and others. My dear friends, allow me to give my opinion. Even I am pious, religious, hard working, active, good, worthy and others as what you see to me. Please see the meaning and essence of what I am doing as part of existence to serve God and its people not a top priority of appreciation, praises but a command to our Heavenly Father in challenge and purpose in this life. Because if we have to compare others what we are doing, it will lead to unhappiness. Do it because it needs to be done especially good things even without appreciation and by doing it lets be happy and offer it to the glory of God. If there is appreciation, see it as a motivation not a measurement of your value but a big challenge to continue the game of life.

             GOD BLESS US ALL....

Pope Francis and Me By: Fr. Wilfredo Samson, SJ

The four-day visit of Pope Francis in the Philippines is generating a spontaneous spiritual renewal in the Filipino nation. Everybody is excited. Somehow his visit to the Philippines is a big lift to our tired and weary spirits. The past two years are not good years for many reasons: the Zamboanga siege, typhoon Yolanda, earthquake in Bohol and the Visayas, typhoons and floods all over, graft and corruption cases, and other natural and man-made catastrophes.
Many are tired and almost hopeless. Our life is already burdened with many bad stories. Unfortunately, less good news is being told and shared. In the battle of telling stories, sad to say, the bad news is winning. And the bearers of good news are getting fewer. We have few storytellers of good news around, compared to newspapers and social media practitioners who are more inclined to tell sensationalized bad stories.
When Pope Francis was elected as the 266th Pontiff of the Catholic Church, a new lease on life and inspiration has dawned upon us. Suddenly, an inspiring leader and a bearer of good news was born. When Pope Francis was elected, instead of traditionally blessing the people, he asked the crowd to bless him. When the world saw it, everybody knew this was the beginning of the renewal and revival of the Church. The following months that followed were moments of inspiration, consolation and healing. We agreed. We finally found the shepherd, our good shepherd – a leader who could govern the Church with love and compassion, towards the renewal and transformation of the faithful, including the Church hierarchy.
Pope Francis is not only a perfect bearer of good news of God; his life is a perfect manifestation of God’s mercy and compassion. And his inspiring words coupled with action compel the lost sons and daughters of God to return to the Church fold.
When it was announced that he would visit the Philippines, everyone was thrilled with his coming. Everyone wants to see — in flesh and blood — the new champion of good news in our modern times. We feel so blessed and fortunate! For Pope Francis who inspired and challenged the whole world with his simple but profound teaching, will finally visit us this week.
Unfortunately, not every Filipino is lucky enough to see him face to face. The sea and the distance that divides us to islands and regions will hinder the majority of the population from experiencing the energy and charisma of Pope Francis. Yet, even those who are in Manila and Tacloban are not assured of a full view and face-to-face encounter with Pope Francis. Not everyone is fortunate enough to have a privilege pass to Malacañang, Manila Cathedral, Mall of Asia Arena and the UST field. Our last option to see him in person is at the Quirino Grandstand, but with the millions hoping to get a glance of Pope Francis, it will be like winning a lottery to see him closer. So what’s the next option? To stay in the comfort of your home, watch him on TV or on the internet, join him in prayer, and listen attentively to his message. In other words, allow Pope Francis to visit you in your hearts.
The question is — if you are not in Manila or Tacloban — how can one profit from Pope Francis’ pastoral visit this week? For the majority, to see Pope Francis in person is not possible. But let’s look at the positive side. The fact that he will be in our country for four days is already a big blessing. His presence in our midst for few days is enough to thank God for this rare opportunity.
Yes, to see him in person is a big blessing. But to listen to him attentively and allow his message to touch our hearts and transform our lives are better blessings. He may not visit our towns or cities, we may not be on the Vatican’s list of people he will meet, but if we allow his message to visit our hearts – this is better and deeper. Yes, it is awesome to meet the Pope Francis in person, but to treasure his message in our hearts is much better and beneficial than to remember the happy memories of his visit.
The euphoria of Pope Francis’ visit will fade away when he returns to Rome. But for those who have learned to transcend the physical distance between them and Pope Francis, and have united themselves spiritually with him in the liturgies, prayers and his messages, they will remain genuinely joyful, inspired and transformed for life.

SHY KA BA?

sOURCE: http://chinkeetan.com/shy-ka-ba/

Have you ever experienced being laughed at, o yung mapahiya kapag nasa harapan ng klase, mga kaopisina, o sa maraming tao?
In my seminar, “SPEAK & GROW RICH” I was asked the question,“Chinkee, bakit parang effortless ka na tumayo sa harapan o makipagusap maski sa ibang taong hindi naman halos mo kilala?”Madaming dahilan pero, allow me to sight some reasons:
#1- Maaring hindi tayo masyado na expose sa tao. We grew up na hindi naman tayo ang nasa limelight o hindi tayo nabuild up— laging pamilya o kapitbahay lang ang nakilala at nakamulatan natin.
#2- We were humiliated before.
#3- Bullying.
I was given the name of “PANDAK PIRATE.” Sakit nun, pandak na, pirate pa!
So what do you need to do now? How can you overcome your shyness ng hindi ka nahihirapan at napapag-iwanan if you need to deal with people?
STRENGTHEN YOUR SELF IMAGE!
Be proud of your skills, talents, and abilities; dahil sa sarili mong paniniwala magsisimula ang pag gain mo ng self-confidence at hindi sa ibang tao. Sabi nga, don’t be too busy comparing yourself to others; instead, think of ways to improve what has been given to you. Next, BE YOURSELF! Hindi mo naman kailangang magpanggap para magustuhan ka ng ibang tao, we are all created unique, use it to your advantage.
PRACTICE! Mag practice ka sa harap ng salamin or start by mingling with other people, from there matututunan mong makipag-usap sa iba paunti unti ng hindi ka ninenerbyos.
FOCUS ON THE MOMENT. Kadalasan kasi inuunahan natin ang sitwasyon by thinking na “baka pag sinabi o ginawa ko to, mapahiya lang ako” NO! Kaya tayo nawawala sa momentum kasi nangunguna tayo, just enjoy the flow of the conversation or situation and just do your best.
Remember these four basic steps at magugulat nalang kayo on how these things will improve and boost your confidence in ability to deal with people.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY
Is your self esteem low because you can’t seem to get along and talk to people without feeling nervous?
Do you want to do something about this?
What are your skills and talents that you can be proud of?

BAGONG TAON, BAGONG BUHAY

As we end the year 2014, lahat tayo ay may sari-sariling mga tradition at pamahiiin.
Some celebrate it by lighting fire crackers para daw itaboy ang masasamang espiritu.
Some are wearing POLKA DOTS, kasi it represents daw MONEY. More POLKA DOTS, more MONEY.
In every family, meron silang sari-sariling tradition. Para sa amin it has been over 15 years that we practice a different kind of tradition.
Nais ko lang i-sahre sa inyo kung ano ang aming ginagawa tuwing end of the year:
WRITE TEN THINGS THAT WE ARE BELIEVING GOD FOR
Ginagamit namin ang pagkakataon upang isulat ang most IMPOSSIBLE things that we are believing God for.
The things we write ay mga bagay na impossible, ika nga, sky is the limit. Turning dreams into reality does not depend on the size of your resources, but on the size your dreams.
REVIEW THE THINGS WE BELIEVED GOD HAS DONE LAST YEAR
WRITE TEN THINGS THAT WE ARE GRATEFUL FOR
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
This is my DREAM CHALLENGE for you this year of 2015:
Magsulat ka nang 10 IMPOSSIBLE DREAMS mo sa isang pirasong papel.
Ilagay mo sa isang lugar na hindi siya mawawala.
I-share mo rin ito sa mga mahal mo sa buhay.
Ipag-pray mo rin ito, para pagpalain ito ng Diyos.
Are you ready to take up the CHALLENGE?
I-share o I-tag mo itong blog na ito sa at least 3 of your friends na alam mo ma-eencourage sila sa blog na ito.

Gratitude is an attitude

“Mas marami akong natanggap na regalo last year compared to this year.”
Nakakasad talaga!
One person that I cannot stand to be with even just for a few seconds is the person who loves to COMPLAIN.
GGGGRRRRRRR!!! Sorry to vent out! I hate when I hear people complaining for the wrong reasons. Again, let me emphasize, it is not bad to complain for the right reason, but once it’s becoming a HABIT, there is something wrong.
So if you want your 2015 to become a better, bigger, and brighter year…
One ATTITUDE that I feel we need to acquire, learn, and develop is the ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE.
One thing I can say about 2014 is, “Lord, I am thankful and grateful for the good things you have entrusted me and also the not so good things that came along the way. Because I know that there is a reason and a purpose for everything.”
For I know that, “A person may have many plans in their heart. But the Lord’s purpose wins out in the end.” Proverbs 19:21
We just need to trust in God’s sovereign and perfect will in our lives.
Rather than complaining about the bad things, why don’t we thank God for the good things?
How can we be THANKFUL & GRATEFUL?
Being thankful and grateful is not EXTERNAL but an INTERNAL ISSUE.
Being thankful and grateful is not dependent on how much money you have; the achievements you made; the possessions you acquired; the position you have reached; the wealth you accumulated; the power or influence you established.
Learning how to be thankful and grateful is an ISSUE OF THE HEART.
If you do not learn how to be happy, thankful, and grateful with the things that you have now, you will never be happy, thankful, and grateful with the things you are wishing to have tomorrow.
GRATITUDE IS AN ATTITUDE.
HOW TO DEVELOP AN ATTITUDE OF GRATITUDE?
LEARN HOW TO BE CONTENTED
Contentment is an issue of the HEART, not an issue of how much STUFF you have.
If your heart is content with what you have, joy will follow. If your heart is joyful, you are at peace, when you are at peace, then you will be thankful for whatever you have.
How can we be content?
Being happy with whatever you have will lead you to the feeling of satisfaction. You will not want any more than what you have in life. Satisfaction comes when we stop being frustrated. Frustration of the things that we don’t have or get leads us to anger. Enjoy the happiness that you feel. Being contented will lead you to enjoy the things that surround you, let go of the things that hurdles you to be dissatisfied with life. Do whatever that makes you happy.
In Philippians 4:11 (NIV) it says, “I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances.”
A 2003 study suggested that people who cultivate thankfulness are generally happier than people who don’t. (Wiki-How.com)
NEVER COMPARE YOURSELF WITH OTHERS
Surely if your heart is content, then there is no need for you to compete with others or the “joneses” that is around you. Comparing yourself to someone else will lead you to frustration because you will ALWAYS find someone better than you are. So why do you give yourself a problem? Be confident with what you are and what you have.
Big or small, hefty or light, huge or tiny; let us develop the attitude of gratitude to be content for all the blessings that God has given us. Even the circumstances that we experience, we should thank God for those experiences; whether it is good or bad. We should be thankful for amidst the storm you have surpassed it. That is an attitude of being grateful for the things that God has provided you.
BE OTHERS ORIENTED THAN SELF-ORIENTED
The reason some people are not happy with their life is because they are so full of themselves.
They never give room to others in their lives.
One thing I’ve discovered in that room of SELF. It is just like a bottomless pit, you can never fill it up. Once you start filling it up, you just want more. It is a futile exercise to achieve more and acquire for more. Achieving and acquiring more is not bad but if it becomes your passion and obsession and if that is what you are living. You will live a life of emptiness and life will become meaningless. It is too exhausting because it never ends.
Start thinking about others rather than ourselves… BE SELFLESS!
Be selfless in your own little way, at anytime or anyplace. Simply listen to others when they are talking. Be empathetic to the one talking in front of you.
Be selfless even if others are not or do not notice it. Selfless people are the ones who do not take credit for doing an act of kindness and generosity. They simply do it because for them it is right.
It is alright to be happy because other people are happy. This is one way to be selfless.
THINK. REFLECT. APPLY.
What are the things that you frequently complained about? Is it your income? Is it your spouse? Is it your bosses, your work, your neighbor, your officemate or your mother-in-law? (Joke! Joke! Joke!)
Can you get a piece of paper or just type it here on your tablet or computer the things that you are thankful and grateful for this 2014.
What would really set you apart to achieve greater things this 2015 is your ATTITUDE.
